Chocoben Retail

Chocoben Retail

Chocoben Retail is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of parametric design and retail aesthetics, completed in 2016 in Tehran. This 34-square-meter retail space represents a significant advancement in contemporary retail design, featuring a striking ceiling installation comprising more than 400 individually crafted Plexiglas light volumes of varying sizes, creating a dynamic parametric composition. The design's distinctive approach combines pink, gray, and white color schemes with sophisticated lighting arrangements to establish an inviting and distinctive atmosphere. The project's technical execution overcame significant manufacturing challenges through innovative use of EPS materials and hot wire cutting techniques, demonstrating resourceful problem-solving in the absence of large-scale 3D printing capabilities. The interior space is characterized by its visual complexity, offering visitors multiple perspectives and interpretations of the form depending on their position within the space. This thoughtfully curated retail environment, which garnered a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases an exceptional understanding of spatial dynamics, brand identity integration, and contemporary retail requirements. The design team, led by Mahdi Fakhimi, successfully transformed a compact urban retail space into an architecturally significant installation that merges functional retail requirements with artistic expression, establishing new paradigms in commercial interior design.
