CHARLING by BOLLLICINE Sparkling Wine Bottle is an innovative packaging design that revolutionizes the storage and presentation of sparkling wine through its distinctive spherical form and technical specifications. This groundbreaking bottle design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, features a unique spherical body that minimizes the wine's contact with the glass surface, thereby enhancing preservation qualities. The design incorporates a specialized black alimentary rubber coating that provides both tactile appeal and functional protection from light exposure. Standing at 218mm in height with a diameter of 114mm, the 0.75-liter vessel achieves the same wine-to-oxygen ratio as a traditional 1.5-liter magnum bottle through its ingeniously shortened neck design. The bottle's construction employs specifically calculated glass thickness and weight distributions to withstand the high internal pressure characteristic of sparkling wines. Notable design elements include the elimination of traditional labeling in favor of a three-dimensional logo on the front and minimalist printing on the back, demonstrating a contemporary approach to wine packaging aesthetics. The development process, which spanned from December 2011 to April 2013, challenged industry conventions by implementing custom specifications throughout all components, including the cork, security net, and overall bottle architecture.
