Characters Poster Design is an innovative visual communication project that explores the intersection of environmental concerns and cultural preservation through artistic expression. This thought-provoking poster series, created by Chinese designer Yu Chen in 2019, masterfully combines traditional Chinese characters with visual representations of air pollution to create a powerful commentary on environmental degradation. The design concept ingeniously utilizes Chinese characters specifically related to air and atmosphere, rendering them in a way that appears to be corrupted or dissolved by smog and haze, serving as a metaphor for the threat that industrial pollution poses to cultural heritage.
