Chandelier Table Side Table

Chandelier Table Side Table

Chandelier table Side table is an innovative furniture design that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of functionality and aesthetic refinement in contemporary interior design. Created by Danish designer Claire Requa, this decorative side table serves as a complementary piece to the Claire de Lune Chandelier, featuring delicate laser-cut acrylic construction with intricate etched patterns that create a distinctive lace-like appearance. The table's dimensions of 20 x 20 x 40 centimeters make it an ideal accent piece for bedrooms and living spaces, while its transparent quality lends an ethereal almost-there presence that enhances its visual appeal. The design incorporates several noteworthy technical innovations, including specially designed screws and custom tooling for assembly, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail in its engineering. Environmental consciousness is integral to its design philosophy, manifested through its flat-pack delivery system that reduces carbon dioxide emissions during transportation, and its construction utilizing smaller acrylic pieces that might otherwise be considered waste material. The table's sophisticated engineering required collaboration with specialized engineers during its six-month development period in Copenhagen. This remarkable piece was recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2013, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to furniture design through its innovative use of materials, aesthetic appeal, and environmental considerations. The table exemplifies the designer's FUNKTIONAL philosophy, combining fun, funky, and functional elements while maintaining a strong commitment to eco-friendly practices throughout the product's lifecycle.
