Champion Wine Cave is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies sophisticated wine storage and tasting space design, completed in 2022 in Taichung city, Taiwan. This architectural masterpiece, designed by Hsin Ting Weng, seamlessly integrates traditional winemaking elements with contemporary design principles across its 148-square-meter construction area. The space features a distinctive dual-level layout, with the ground floor dedicated to wine storage accommodating 1,000 bottles and a bar station, while the upper level serves as a whisky tasting area. The design's most notable elements include fire-brick cladding on the insulation wall, paying homage to traditional Burgundian wine cellars' temperature and humidity control methods. The interior showcases a harmonious blend of materials, including brass, rusty steelworks, and indigenous elements, with the bar station strategically positioned at the layout's core to optimize service efficiency. The project's architectural language is characterized by recurring arched motifs visible in the logo, bar façade, and elevation details, creating a cohesive corporate identity. The innovative use of transparent shelving creates dynamic interactions between customers and passersby, while the sophisticated flooring combines various wood species with bronze inlays for enhanced visual appeal. This exceptional design, recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates remarkable attention to detail in its material selection and spatial organization, successfully merging functional requirements with aesthetic excellence.
