C'est La Vie Residential House

C'est La Vie Residential House is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies contemporary living spaces through thoughtful spatial reorganization and aesthetic refinement. Located in Taiwan, this 100-square-meter residence, designed by Yi Chun Chung, demonstrates a masterful integration of functionality and artistic elements. The design's distinctive features include metal-colored double arc arches at the entry and kitchen entrance, which inject vitality into the space while creating a welcoming atmosphere through the use of natural wood and stone textures. The project's spatial arrangement was strategically reconfigured to maximize the public areas, seamlessly integrating living, dining, and kitchen spaces to encourage familial interaction. Notable design elements include gray-blue cabinets that serve as a focal point, a sophisticated marble TV wall with embedded indirect lighting, and a ceiling adorned with rich colors and circular rectangles that provide visual continuity. The master bedroom's innovative design incorporates a curved headboard enclosure and separate zones for dressing and bathing, while the dining area features an iron display cabinet that doubles as a sophisticated showcase for collections. The project, completed in 2023, earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial planning, material selection, and innovative design solutions. The integration of natural elements such as stone bricks, paint, and wood, combined with refined metal accents, creates a harmonious balance between functionality, aesthetics, and spatial transparency, while careful attention to Feng Shui principles ensures a positive living environment.
