Cerberus Moped is an innovative hybrid-powered two-wheeled vehicle that represents a significant advancement in sustainable transportation design, distinguished by its unique triple-power system that combines electric, gasoline, and pedal propulsion methods. This versatile mobility solution, designed by Italian architect and industrial designer Marco Naccarella, features a sophisticated 2.8 kW electric motor system complemented by a 50cc four-stroke gasoline engine with supercharger, delivering a combined capability of reaching speeds up to 60 kilometers per hour. The design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design category, showcases exceptional engineering through its adjustable ergonomics, including an innovative handlebar system that can be modified in both length (830-980mm) and distance from the rider. The moped's technical specifications demonstrate careful attention to efficiency and practicality, incorporating a 7-liter fuel capacity, 1.5-liter integrated oil tank, and an impressive estimated range of 200 kilometers without pedaling. The construction utilizes a thoughtful combination of materials including steel, aluminum alloy, magnesium alloy, and ABS plastic, resulting in a robust yet lightweight frame featuring a quadrilateral system fork design with a 22-degree headset rake. The project, developed during 2020-2021, emphasizes interchangeability of components and maintenance accessibility, while its design philosophy balances classic moped aesthetics with modern functionality, making it particularly suitable for various urban environments from city centers to suburban roads.
