Centrestage Hong Kong 2016 Organizer spaces is an innovative spatial design concept implemented at a major fashion exhibition venue, representing a sophisticated approach to event space organization and design. The project, which garnered recognition with a Golden A' Design Award in the Event and Happening Design category, introduced a groundbreaking abstract concept titled Starlight Transform that seamlessly integrated various exhibition spaces while accommodating 192 contemporary fashion brands. The design journey began with a striking 3.5-meter-high exploding star-like sculpture at the concourse entry, setting the tone for the entire spatial experience. The installation utilized sustainable materials and construction methods, incorporating metal hollow sections that could be recycled post-event, stretched vinyl covering, and lightweight reusable aluminum systems. The design encompassed an impressive 1800-square-meter outside concourse with a 3.5-meter height restriction, featuring LED illumination throughout. The interior space included a meticulously crafted fragmented gridded tunnel spanning 300 square meters, leading to a circular open arena with a 10-meter radius, crowned by two floating white discs suspended at 4 meters height. This thoughtfully designed space hosted various fashion shows, cocktail receptions, and trend forums, demonstrating exceptional versatility in its functionality. The project's innovative approach to sustainable design was evident in its use of biodegradable carpets and hired LED screens and audio-visual equipment, significantly reducing the environmental impact while maintaining aesthetic excellence.
