Central Park Sales Office is an innovative architectural and interior design project completed in Xi'an, China, that masterfully integrates natural elements with contemporary design principles. Located adjacent to Xi'an's largest urban ecological park spanning 113.4 hectares, this 1500-square-meter reception center exemplifies the harmonious fusion of nature and architecture through its thoughtfully curated design narrative. The project, completed in January 2020 under the direction of designers Kris Lin and Jiayu Yang, employs a sophisticated four-part design methodology of Introduction, elucidation, transition, and summary to create an immersive park experience. The space features a striking glazed leaf installation that creates a progressive spatial journey, beginning from the foyer and cascading through the ceiling before culminating in a reflective pool, simulating leaves carried by wind. This artistic element serves both aesthetic and functional purposes, guiding visitors through the space while maintaining thematic consistency. The design's innovative approach to spatial organization is particularly evident in its four distinct zones: the pavilion (introduction), falling leaves (elucidation), lake water (transition), and the Lonely Tree (summary), each contributing to a cohesive narrative experience. The project's exceptional integration of natural elements and architectural innovation earned it the prestigious Gold A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its outstanding contribution to contemporary design practice and its successful realization of a harmonious dialogue between built environment and natural landscape.
