Cascade Of Lights Interior Design
Cascade of Lights Interior design is an innovative residential interior design project located in the Tien Mu district of Taipei, encompassing a 330-square-meter space that masterfully integrates natural light and architectural elements to create a villa-like atmosphere within an urban setting. The design, conceived by Steph Lee and recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning through its creative interpretation of the sunshine container concept. The project's distinguishing features include an elongated structure with extensive corridors and a large terrace, where the strategic implementation of ground glass and setback floor design successfully channels abundant natural light and green views throughout the interior environment. The design philosophy emphasizes the seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, utilizing various materials and thoughtful line arrangements to establish an open, flowing layout that connects inhabitants with nature. The interior's sophisticated approach to functionality incorporates hidden storage solutions within corridor wall lines, maintaining a pure and uncluttered aesthetic while addressing practical needs. The project's success lies in its ability to transform potentially challenging architectural elements into advantages, creating a harmonious living space that balances aesthetic appeal with functional requirements. The design's innovative use of light, both natural and artificial, creates distinct atmospheric qualities that transition elegantly from day to night, with evening illumination producing a uniquely contemplative environment. This award-winning project, completed in May 2015, exemplifies how contemporary interior design can effectively bridge the gap between urban living and natural elements, while maintaining high standards of quality and integrity throughout its execution.
