Casa Udo Residential Apartment

Casa Udo Residential Apartment

Casa Udo Residential Apartment is a distinguished residential interior design project located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, embodying the concept of peace and tranquility through its thoughtful spatial arrangement and design elements. Completed in February 2022, this expansive 700-square-meter apartment with 4-meter-high ceilings represents a harmonious blend of contemporary design and artisanal craftsmanship. The design philosophy draws inspiration from the Hindu word Udo, meaning peace, which is reflected throughout the space through a carefully curated palette of earthy hues and sophisticated material selections. The apartment features several notable design elements, including handcrafted micro-cement wall treatments that create an industrial aesthetic, juxtaposed against refined, contemporary furniture pieces. The interior spaces showcase a masterful integration of various textures and materials, from custom MDF paneling to a striking built-in study area finished in deep green. The dining area is distinguished by its white Carrara marble table with fluid curves and a custom-designed wine cellar. The social areas flow seamlessly into personalized bedroom spaces, each thoughtfully designed to reflect the individual personalities of the residents. The terrace area exemplifies the project's innovative approach to material application and furniture selection. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its execution, completed within an ambitious six-month timeline while maintaining high-end finishing standards throughout.
