Café And Home Residential House

Café and Home Residential House is an innovative residential interior design project that masterfully combines the relaxed ambiance of a café with the comfort of a private dwelling, completed in July 2021 in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. This 66-square-meter space exemplifies a sophisticated fusion of modern simplicity and natural aesthetics, specifically designed to provide a sanctuary for engineers working at the Science Park who seek respite from their demanding professional lives. The design employs a refined color palette of grey, white, and natural wood tones, creating an atmosphere rich in light and shadow interplay. Notable features include a half-walled open study area that facilitates both work and leisure activities while maintaining visual connectivity, and a concealed dining table that enables social gatherings without compromising the space's streamlined aesthetic. The interior utilizes raw concrete and dark carbonized oak, complemented by metal iron elements and exposed ceiling pipes, embodying a light industrial style that enhances spatial perception and brightness. The bedroom space is thoughtfully designed with warm wall lighting and serene blue accents, creating a therapeutic environment. Practical considerations are addressed through innovative storage solutions, including stylish stainless cavity boards with hooks that maintain organizational efficiency without sacrificing aesthetic appeal. This design, created by Aric Chang, earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its excellence in combining functionality with aesthetic sophistication while addressing contemporary living needs.
