C J T HOUSE Residence is an exemplary modern residential interior design project that masterfully blends Japanese aesthetic principles with contemporary living spaces across 165 square meters. The name C.J.T. carries dual significance, representing both the initials of three family members and embodying the core design principles of Comfort, Japanese influence, and Temperature harmony. Conceived by designers Yu-Lun Chang, Chun-Han Chen, and Yi-Chien Wen, this sophisticated residential space showcases a harmonious integration of exposed concrete walls adorned with verdant greenery and iron elements complemented by wooden grilles. The design philosophy emphasizes a refined material palette of grey, white, and natural wood tones, creating a serene atmosphere that epitomizes modern Zen aesthetics. A notable architectural feature is the innovative treatment of the crossed column beam, where clever ceiling articulation mitigates any potential oppressive qualities. The space planning demonstrates exceptional consideration for functionality and flow, particularly evident in the half-public study room that doubles as a recreation area, effectively channeling natural daylight into the dining space. The interior's coherence is further enhanced through symmetrical cabinet designs and a seamless integration of kitchen, bar, dining room, and entranceway spaces. This thoughtfully executed project, completed in Taiwan in July 2016, garnered international recognition by winning the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2017, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to residential interior design excellence.
