Blanc Residential House
Blanc Residential House is an exemplary residential architectural project that masterfully combines contemporary colonial style with ethereal aesthetics, completed between 2020-2022 in Kasaragod, Kerala, India. This 4000-square-foot residence represents a sophisticated fusion of classic colonial architecture and modern minimalist design principles, featuring five bedrooms, multiple living spaces, and thoughtfully integrated communal areas. The design's distinctive characteristics include the strategic use of neutral tones, custom-made elements, and limited edition Italian Statuario marble flooring, all contributing to its refined aesthetic appeal. The interior spaces showcase meticulous attention to detail through PU paint finishes, PVD gold-coated architectural elements, and bespoke furniture pieces that harmoniously blend luxury with minimalism. The project's architectural innovation lies in its successful resolution of privacy concerns within an open-plan layout, achieved through strategic partitioning and space planning. Notable design features include a striking double-height space adorned with globe lights, decorative wall treatments that combine artworks with architectural details, and large window openings that create a seamless connection between interior and exterior spaces. The residence's design excellence has been recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to residential architecture and interior design. The project demonstrates exceptional material selection, incorporating climate-appropriate materials and easily maintainable fabrics, while the overall design philosophy emphasizes the creation of positive, lively spaces that honor both historical architectural elements and contemporary living requirements.
