Beijing Cangsu Company Headquarters Club is a distinguished architectural interior design project completed in 2017, encompassing 2,600 square meters of thoughtfully crafted space that masterfully blends traditional Chinese cultural elements with contemporary design sensibilities. The project, designed by Yi Chen and Muchen Zhang, represents a sophisticated interpretation of Beijing's cultural heritage through its innovative spatial arrangement and material selection. The design philosophy centers on creating a tranquil sanctuary within the urban environment, featuring six distinct compartments in the main dining area that serve as peaceful retreats from city life. The space is characterized by its minimalist approach, employing natural wood materials and indoor bamboo gardens to create an atmosphere of serenity and authenticity. The designers drew inspiration from Beijing's historical Bell and Drum Towers and the musical heritage of the 1990s, incorporating these cultural touchstones into the spatial narrative. The project's execution demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its use of real wood flooring and wall treatments, creating an environment that encourages reflection and social connection. The design earned recognition with a Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2018, acknowledging its innovative approach to spatial design and cultural preservation.
