Basket Balls
Basketballs are spherical balls used in the sport of basketball. They are typically made of synthetic leather or rubber and have a circumference of approximately 29.5 inches (75 cm) and a weight of 22 ounces (624 grams). The surface of the ball is divided into panels, which are usually eight in number, and are designed to provide grip for players. The panels are typically colored in a combination of orange and black, although some variations exist. Basketballs are designed to be durable and withstand the rigors of the game. They are inflated to a pressure of between 7.5 and 8.5 pounds per square inch (psi) and are checked regularly to ensure that they remain within this range. The ball is also designed to bounce, with the amount of bounce determined by the pressure of the ball and the surface on which it is being played. Basketballs are an essential piece of equipment for the sport of basketball and are used in both professional and amateur games. They are also used in training and practice sessions, and are often used for recreational play in parks and playgrounds.
