B&B Italia Showroom is an innovative retail space that redefines conventional showroom architecture through its seamless integration of interior, exterior, and landscape design elements. Located in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, this 540-square-meter ground-floor commercial space, completed in September 2020, represents a significant departure from traditional showroom concepts. The design, created by Wang Chen of Outin Design, abandons conventional display modes by achieving remarkable spatial unity and continuity through sophisticated architectural elements. The showroom's distinctive features include geometric structures harmoniously combined with glass curtain walls and a thoughtfully designed garden landscape, effectively dissolving boundaries between the building and displayed objects. The interior space is characterized by strong volumetric presence and clean linear aesthetics, enhanced by semi-open translucent partitions that create visual continuity and spatial depth. These design elements facilitate natural light penetration and seamlessly incorporate outdoor scenery, resulting in a dynamic, garden-like atmosphere. The project's innovative approach transforms previously monotonous entrance steps into an interlacing structural composition, maximizing display potential while maintaining aesthetic coherence. This Bronze A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category demonstrates excellence in sustainable design practices and cultural sensitivity, particularly in its adaptation to the Chinese market.
