6th Floor Rear Flat Office is an innovative interior design project completed in 2015 in Foshan, Guangdong, China, that reimagines conventional workplace dynamics through thoughtful spatial planning and industrial aesthetics. Designed by Xiaoping He and Xinglin Li, this office space draws inspiration from container architecture and employs industrial elements such as cement, handmade decorative tiles, white cement brick, and black iron to create a dynamic, communication-encouraging environment. The six-meter-high space is strategically divided into three distinct working areas and a public leisure space, fostering a collaborative ecosystem for young entrepreneurs while maintaining individual autonomy. The design concept deliberately blurs the boundary between working and living spaces, featuring a distinctive wall painting with a large smile that serves as both a visual focal point and a mood-lifting element. The project's material selection and spatial arrangement demonstrate exceptional cost-consciousness while ensuring future adaptability, as the materials can be easily modified to accommodate potential expansion.
