210 Bloor Multi Residential House

210 Bloor Multi Residential House is a sophisticated 29-storey mixed-use architectural masterpiece located in Toronto, Canada, exemplifying the emerging urban typology of boutique residential condominiums. Designed by architect Babak Eslahjou, this innovative structure, recognized with a Golden A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, harmoniously combines residential and retail spaces, featuring 42 residential units and 126m² of retail space complemented by three levels of below-grade parking. The building's most distinctive architectural element is its striking façade design, which incorporates a mirrored glass triangular tessellated geometric pattern on the east and west elevations, creating a dynamic interplay of light and form through its hexagonal panels. With a gross floor area of 15,589m² and a density ratio of 20 times the lot area, the development exemplifies efficient urban space utilization while maintaining premium living standards. The design philosophy draws inspiration from the growing demand for exclusive urban residences, offering a house-like experience with typically one or two units per floor to ensure privacy and autonomy. Construction, which commenced in 2023 and is scheduled for completion in 2030, employs reinforced concrete structure and glass curtain wall technology, demonstrating advanced architectural engineering principles. This super-skinny tower typology, similar to those found in major metropolitan areas like New York and Vancouver, represents a significant advancement in urban residential architecture, combining aesthetic excellence with functional sophistication.
