104 Cafe Interior Design

104 Cafe Interior Design is an innovative interior space solution created by designers Pei Chieh Lu and Mei Ting Chiu, exemplifying a sophisticated approach to multi-functional corporate environments. This 255-square-meter space transcends the traditional concept of a café by incorporating the dimension of time into its spatial design, featuring distinctive elements such as curved laminate ceilings and turnable triangular wooden fences that create dynamic visual flow and spatial layering. The design's philosophy centers on fostering workplace interaction and creativity through thoughtfully planned zones for dining, coffee breaks, meetings, and collaborative work. Distinguished by its intelligent use of color, particularly dramatic red accents that effectively delineate service areas, the space demonstrates exceptional versatility in accommodating various functions throughout the day, from casual dining to formal meetings and corporate events. The interior's aesthetic is enhanced by carefully curated art pieces from a children's gallery, adding a meaningful cultural dimension to the corporate environment. The project, completed in 2018 in New Taipei City, Taiwan, garnered international recognition by winning the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to contemporary workplace design. The design's success lies in its ability to balance functional requirements with aesthetic excellence, creating a fluid, adaptable space that responds to the evolving needs of modern corporate culture while maintaining a strong focus on user experience and social interaction.
