三观|官灯饰设计 Decorated With Lights

三观|官灯饰设计 Decorated With Lights is an innovative lighting design project that reimagines facial features as functional decorative lighting fixtures, created by designers Gao Shifeng, Chen Xiuqing, and Fu ZiNuo. This sophisticated design concept integrates the visual elements of eyes, ears, and lips into a collection of contemporary lighting fixtures, utilizing a unique combination of leather and metal materials to create versatile, sculptural forms. The collection comprises three distinct pieces: an eye-inspired fixture measuring 21cm x 30cm, an ear-inspired piece at 30cm x 42cm, and a lip-inspired design spanning 47cm x 50cm. Each piece incorporates LED technology within acrylic light boxes, while the leather components offer malleable properties that allow users to customize the shape according to their preferences. The design philosophy behind this work explores the duality between hardness and softness through the strategic use of brass and leather, creating an engaging interplay of textures and visual effects. This artistic approach to lighting design, which won an Iron A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, represents a significant departure from purely functional lighting solutions, instead emphasizing the growing importance of decorative and conceptual elements in contemporary lighting design. The project, completed between November 2016 and February 2017, specifically targets design-conscious young professionals aged 25-38 who appreciate unique, artistic home furnishings and possess both the aesthetic sensibility and means to invest in distinctive design pieces.
