Boof Fast Food

Boof Fast Food is an innovative interior design project that revolutionizes the traditional fast-food dining experience through its distinctive owl-inspired architectural concept. Designed by Mehrkameh Veiseh and Hesam Shahidi, this 550-square-meter establishment in Asaluyeh, Iran, masterfully integrates biophilic design principles with practical space optimization. The design's central theme draws inspiration from owl habitats, specifically the natural clefts found in tree trunks, which has been thoughtfully translated into various architectural elements throughout the space. The interior features a sophisticated material palette, including epoxy flooring chosen for its versatility and maintenance benefits, Knauf wall treatments, and an advanced Barrisol lighting system. The designers successfully addressed the challenge of numerous structural columns by incorporating them into the furniture arrangement, transforming potential obstacles into architectural assets. The space planning demonstrates exceptional efficiency, with a ground floor housing the main dining area, kitchen, and service counter, while a 166-square-meter first floor accommodates auxiliary facilities. The design's color scheme combines warm yellow with sophisticated grey tones, creating an atmosphere that references natural tree elements while maintaining a contemporary aesthetic. This project, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design, exemplifies how thoughtful interior architecture can enhance the dining experience while maintaining operational efficiency. The design's success lies in its ability to balance aesthetic innovation with practical functionality, creating a unique brand identity that can be replicated across multiple locations while respecting local cultural and climatic considerations.
