Begonia Town Sales Center is a sophisticated interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of traditional Chinese cultural elements with contemporary architectural aesthetics. Located in the Jiangning District of Nanjing, this 1,690-square-meter space draws profound inspiration from classical Chinese landscape painting, incorporating three fundamental elements: mountains, rivers, and birds. The design, which earned a Gold A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, masterfully employs modern materials such as art glass and Ariston tile to reimagine traditional motifs in an innovative context. The space features a thoughtfully curated black and white color palette, complemented by premium materials including wood, metal, and marble, creating an atmosphere that pays homage to Nanjing's rich cultural heritage as a six dynasties ancient capital. The center encompasses various functional areas including a reception, meeting rooms, relaxation spaces, and showrooms, all unified by the overarching design narrative. The project's most notable achievement lies in its successful resolution of the challenge to bridge traditional and modern design sensibilities, particularly evident in the creation of bird-shaped glass installations that capture the fluid grace of traditional brush paintings. Completed in June 2017, this sales center represents a significant advancement in commercial interior design, demonstrating how cultural elements can be reinterpreted through contemporary design language while maintaining their essential character and significance.
