Boucle Bench is an innovative furniture design that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of Brazilian concretist architecture with playful, nostalgic elements. Created by designer Ronald Sasson, this sophisticated seating solution measures 45 x 242 x 42.5cm and is crafted from multilayered sheets with walnut veneer finish, thermoformed in aluminum mold and naturally cooled. The design's distinctive feature lies in its continuous loop formation where the sides of the seats extend seamlessly from the accent, providing both aesthetic appeal and structural integrity. Drawing inspiration from early 20th-century wooden toys characterized by overlapping blocks forming houses and bridges, the bench translates this childhood nostalgia into a refined piece of contemporary furniture suitable for both domestic and corporate environments. The manufacturing process involves advanced thermoforming techniques in aluminum molds, complemented by an interior finished in satin paint, demonstrating a masterful balance between traditional craftsmanship and modern production methods. This exceptional design earned the Golden A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, recognizing its innovative approach to material use, aesthetic excellence, and functional design.
