Bloom At Night Visual Merchandising

Bloom at Night Visual Merchandising is an innovative visual merchandising project that exemplifies the intersection of traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology in retail display design. This sophisticated installation features intricately designed jasmine flower replicas, created through a groundbreaking combination of artisanal techniques and advanced 3D printing technology. The project, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the 3D Printed Forms and Products Design category, showcases a remarkable approach to scaling delicate botanical forms for commercial display purposes. The design process began with hand-crafted porcelain and sugar paste models, which were subsequently 3D scanned and refined digitally to create multiple variations across four different sizes ranging from 8 to 13 centimeters. The final pieces were produced using Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) technology with fine polyamide material, achieving a velveteen texture that perfectly captures the delicate nature of jasmine flowers. This innovative production method not only preserved the intricate details of the original handcrafted models but also enabled the creation of nearly 1,000 unique pieces while maintaining the high standards of luxury visual merchandising. The design's success lies in its ability to capture the essence of jasmine flowers, which bloom at night, through the careful consideration of form, texture, and scale, creating displays that appear naturally elegant rather than mass-produced. Initially designed for a two-week installation, the project's success led to its adoption as a signature element in retail displays worldwide, demonstrating its lasting impact on luxury retail visual merchandising.
