Breach Office

Breach Office is an innovative architectural interior design project that reimagines traditional workplace concepts through a sophisticated blend of functionality and aesthetic refinement. Located across the fourth and fifth floors of two connected buildings, this 2,600-square-meter workspace was meticulously crafted to accommodate 179 architects while breaking through conventional spatial limitations. The design philosophy emphasizes a de-office-like approach, creating a harmonious environment that balances professional requirements with human-centric elements. Drawing inspiration from art gallery aesthetics, the space incorporates white oak, glass, and advanced lighting systems, including rain-sensing automatic skylights and thermal insulation. The design successfully addresses complex architectural challenges, including a 500mm building dispersion and the need for vertical connectivity, through the installation of strategic corridors and a striking 8,150mm high hollow steel structure connecting both floors. The interior's sophisticated material palette and thoughtful spatial organization create distinct zones for conferences, reception, relaxation, and storage, while maintaining visual cohesion through carefully coordinated colors and textures. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project, completed in 2018, exemplifies excellence in workplace design through its innovative approach to spatial planning and its integration of biophilic elements, including natural light and plantlife, fostering an environment that promotes both productivity and psychological well-being. The design's success lies in its ability to transform a conventional office setting into a dynamic, collaborative space that reflects the professional values and creative aspirations of its architectural occupants, while maintaining a serene and contemplative atmosphere conducive to focused work.
