Bbq House Private house is an innovative architectural project that seamlessly integrates outdoor cooking spaces with residential living, located in San Francisco de Asis, Las Condes, Chile, near the Andes mountain range. This distinguished residential design, created by architect Karla Aliaga Mac Dermitt in collaboration with landscaper Luz Maria Ramirez and architect Victor Ollarves, represents a paradigm shift in traditional Chilean barbecue area placement by incorporating it directly into the house structure rather than positioning it at a distance. The design's most notable feature is its sophisticated integration of interior and exterior spaces through large folding glass windows, creating a fluid connection between the home's living areas and the natural environment. Spanning 886 square meters of exterior space and 60 square meters of interior area, the project masterfully addresses the challenging mountainous terrain through innovative architectural solutions, transforming varying elevation levels into a harmonious semi-planar landscape without extensive retaining walls. The structure employs a thoughtful combination of materials including iron frameworks, various concrete types, earth-toned porcelain veneers, and Oregon Pine latticework, all selected for their durability in both dry summers and humid winters. The project, completed in December 2016, uniquely unifies four distinct spaces - nature, pool area, dining space, and cooking zone - into a cohesive whole, while the strategic glass installations maintain comfortable atmospheric conditions throughout the seasons.
