Milewood Residence is an innovative residential interior design project completed in 2018, showcasing a sophisticated blend of functionalist design principles and pop art influences. Located on the 14th floor of a 23-story tower in Ramat-Gan, Israel, this 94-square-meter apartment represents a thoughtful transformation of space, designed by Oron Milshtein. The project, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional spatial optimization by converting a standard four-bedroom apartment into a three-room living space with an integrated design studio. The residence features a distinctive three-dimensional decorative wall crafted from stainless steel and marble, incorporating hidden doors that lead to the visitor's bathroom and master suite. Notable design elements include a sophisticated walk-in wardrobe inspired by haute couture boutiques, creating a museum-like experience while maintaining functionality. The interior employs premium materials such as Corian, black oak wood, statuary marble, and brass, harmoniously combining mid-century modern clean lines with contemporary pop art aesthetics. The project's success lies in its dual functionality as both a private residence and a professional design studio, achieved through careful zoning and innovative space planning. The design's cultural significance is enhanced by its location in a building that replaced an iconic cinema, with elements of the original structure integrated into the new development.
