A Whimsical Wander Showroom Showroom is an innovative retail interior design project that exemplifies sophisticated spatial organization through chromatic differentiation, completed in Seoul, South Korea in 2018. This architecturally significant space, designed by architect Hyuntek Yoon in collaboration with fashion designer Youngeun Kwun, transforms an existing office building into a high-end fashion showroom through the strategic implementation of three distinct chambers - Pink, White, and Grey - each defined by its unique color palette and function. The design's most notable feature is its use of arch-shaped portals between chambers, which serve as transitional elements that maximize spatial contrast while maintaining visual continuity. With dimensions of 9000mm in width and 100000mm in depth, the showroom employs a thoughtful combination of interior paint on gypsum board walls and ceiling, complemented by carefully selected floor tiling on concrete slab. The design successfully addresses the challenges of an aging building structure while creating a sophisticated retail environment that embodies classic, chic, and feminine aesthetics with subtle wit. The spatial arrangement effectively separates client areas from business operations, creating an illusion of expanded space through careful color demarcation.
