Located in Sofia, Bulgaria, this 120-square-meter apartment represents a harmonious blend of functionality and refined design elements, created by designers Alex Kovachev and Margarita Zafirova. The residence's design philosophy centers on achieving stability and tranquility while maintaining a definitive sophisticated aesthetic, particularly suited for single occupancy. The space features a striking contrast between geometric and organic oval forms, complemented by a carefully curated color palette that combines marine blue undertones with warm, earthy hues. A notable centerpiece of the living area is the custom-designed, one-piece marble fireplace with bioethanol technology, demonstrating exceptional craftsmanship and innovative design solutions. The interior arrangement includes a sophisticated marbled built-in kitchen that seamlessly connects to an eight-person dining area, enhanced by custom lighting fixtures. The project, completed in 2018, garnered recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial design and material selection. Particular attention was paid to the production of various natural stone elements and custom features, including an innovative upside-down window cabinet with specially molded glass holders, reflecting the project's commitment to bespoke solutions and attention to detail.
