Bake Sweets Shop is an innovative interior design project for a specialty cheese tartlet retail establishment, distinguished by its architectural integration of a dramatic floor-to-ceiling curved glass facade that transforms the entire storefront into an immersive showcase experience. Located within an underground arcade in Fukuoka, Japan, this 66.1-square-meter space (11090mm x 5821mm x 3210mm) represents a revolutionary approach to retail design through its masterful manipulation of architectural elements and materials. Designed by Creative Director Gaku Takasu and Interior Designer Sayo Teshima in 2015, the space employs a distinctive R-shaped glass installation that serves both aesthetic and functional purposes, effectively differentiating the establishment within a concentrated retail environment. The design's most notable feature is its sophisticated interpretation of traditional display cases, where the entire shop becomes a showcase itself, creating an engaging visual dialogue with passersby.
