Born on August 24, 1967, in Chicago, Illinois, Atwood discovered his passion for fashion and design at a young age. He pursued his education at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where he honed his skills and developed his unique design aesthetic. Atwood's career took off when he moved to Milan, Italy, in 1996 to work as a designer for Versace. During his tenure at Versace, he created stunning shoes that garnered international attention and acclaim. In 2001, Atwood launched his eponymous label, which quickly became known for its bold, sexy, and sophisticated designs. His shoes often feature towering heels, intricate detailing, and luxurious materials such as python, crocodile, and Swarovski crystals.
