Milton Wynne was an American artist who is known for his vivid colors and unique brushwork on canvas. Born in North Carolina in 1953, he went to study fine arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He spent many years studying abroad in Paris, as well as in Florence, where he was taught by the renowned Old Master, Antonio del Pollaiolo. He was an acclaimed portrait painter and his work was often used by the rich and powerful to decorate their homes. Among the most noteworthy of his works are the 'Portrait of a Young Girl', which he created in the late 1970s, the 'Flower Garden' series of paintings, and 'The Seascape' which he completed in the early 1980s. Wynne also created many sculptural works in bronze, marble and wood, as well as several ceramic pieces. Art experts often comment on the balance of realism and romanticism in his works, making him a favorite among many collectors of fine art.
